New Orleans (1): Window seats

Posted by
I typically select aisle seats when I fly. This is because aisle seats afford the easiest access to the bathroom, as well as the ability to get up and move around, something very important for flights longer than a handful of hours. For someone who doesn’t really fall asleep on airplanes and usually stays up to read or work, this is important.
But for shorter flights, I prefer the window seat. This is so I may look at the sky. The way I see it, flying in an airplane isn’t actually something most people do on a normal day.
Anyway, the ability to do so is worth having to ask a stranger to stand up for you every now and again. At least for a three to four hour flight.
